How Clean Is Your House…. Really?

This post is ALL my opinion. My husband and I bought this vacuum with our own money. Shark did not send me one for review and did not ask me to do a review once I bought it. I am a huge believer of finding something amazing and telling everyone I know. I feel that if we had some more quality products that people knew about it would make the world a much better place. =)
I am often confused on what to buy. Whether it be laundry detergent, baby formula, diapers and even vacuums. I ran into a lovely couple at Target the other day debating on what vacuum to get. The vacuum they wanted was the vacuum I had so I told them DON’T BUY IT! It’s not worth the money and the effort to keep it clean. They asked if I knew what vacuum to get and at that point I was debating myself on buying the new Electrolux. After talking it over with my husband and it being so expensive I was hesitant. One early morning I was up with my kids and I saw an infomercial about the Shark Navigator Lift Away. It all looked very nice. Of course why wouldn’t? They want to sell it! So I looked at some reviews and checked out their Facebook. I was impressed to say the least!
So today. I bought it!
And I am even more impress. Here’s why…

Yeah I know right. Pretty gross right? I’m very pleased. I like that it’s a deep cleaning vacuum so it doesn’t just clean the surface. I like that you can turn the rotating bristles off and just use suction not only for hardwood floors but for my wool area rug and it works great! I love that you can turn it into a canister vacuum with a click of a button and carry it up the steps to clean the steps. Overall I am very impressed with this vacuum and I did not spend 500+ dollars!
So you can order your vacuum through Shark, or get it at Wal-Mart. I got mine at Bed, Bath & Beyond simply because it was the cheapest with their 20% off coupon (I am a huge coupon shopper!).

So there you have it. What do you think? Is your vacuum doing a good job? Do you have a Shark Lift Away? If so what do you think? Do you own a Dyson? Or an Electrolux?

How clean are your carpets?

Mom Cave {In Progress..}

I have been a slacker.. I know I’m sorry! I have a whirlwind of things going on in my life!

From kids getting stitches, to husband issues, to toddler not behaving issues, to a very intense medication I started.

So anyways I have been working on my mom cave. I am doing it on a small budget so I get things as I see them on sale or find it for a good deal. So I wanted to show you an updated room because it is coming along and I am loving where it’s going..
So as a reminder this is what the room looked like when we moved in: bare and empty!

I loved the space but it was nothing fancy!

IMG_3516
I made the curtains out of some nice fabric from HobLob I believe I paid 50 bucks for it all. The curtain rods will get a spray paint job to go black but for now they are up doing their job.

IMG_3517
The dresser and the table will both get repainted a nice white. They got a little beat up in the move !

IMG_3518
The room is a black and white with pink accents color scheme. So far I have a smidge of each! As I see things I will continue to add to it.

IMG_3525
This is where I want to put an expedit bookshelf as soon as I find one for a steal!

IMG_3523
Can you read the text? All of this clutter corner will go on the bookshelf!

IMG_3526
Here is the rug I got yalls advice on! 99% of you chose this rug… You like?

Little reading corner. The French chair will get a makeover eventually. I just read on Richmond Thrifter, who just happens to live about 5 minutes from me that PRISON as in JAIL will reupholster furniture for you for a small fee. So yeah I love helping people less fortunate and I believe inmates fall into that category!! Thanks Erin! Head over to her blog she is a lot of fun.

A table I got off of craigslist just.like.this. It was so cheap I bought it because this is what I wanted and I probably couldn’t of created it for less and it was already done!

So there you have it? What do yall think? Anything I can add or do different?

Ok we are off to the circus!!!

My Go To Spring Decor Shop

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

When Spring starts to bloom around here and I am ready to update my patio I automatically think of Pier 1

I love their store, you walk in and everything is so beautiful and laid out for you to see.

My favorite part is their outdoor furniture and decor! So easy to take the plain patio and really add some spice.

Let's start with the floor, you need something fun but also cozy on the feet.

This is a nice patterned rug that you can find at Pier 1 here .

If you wanted to do less of a pattern in the rug so you could add more pattern with their lovely pillows you

could try this rug .

It is a nice color that would go with many of their other outdoor items.

A couple of nice pillows..

Some nice colorful dinnerware...

I really LOVE these glasses.

I know what you are thinking. Ok we have a nice rug and beautiful dinnerware and lovely pillows, but where are we going to sit and enjoy everything. Don't worry! Pier 1 has you covered.

First of all, did you know they now have an OUTDOOR Papasan chair ?! Now you can get cozy outside in your own little "nest". Love that!

You're going to need a table..

Now some chairs..

I personally love bright colored chairs! These are my favorite.

There you go a nice, new, colorful patio! As a bonus a lot of Pier 1's furniture is indoor/outdoor!
So after summer if you need a pop of color indoors just bring it on inside! Talk about a bang for your buck, two rooms for the price of one and getting to use everything year round!

I am liking that! So thank you Pier 1 for making patio shopping so fun and easy!

Also take a second and check out their Pier 1 Tweetups and see if you are lucky and live in one of the cities they have listed!.
